The ethics and sensitivities of writing true crime

I spoke to BBC Radio about my new book THE LADY IN THE LAKE

Writing true crime for a modern audience can be a complex and challenging undertaking.

There is so much to consider. Care must be taken. It can be a delicate balancing act between telling a story that is compelling to keep readers turning the page and being respectful to surviving relatives.

In an interview I gave today with BBC Radio Cumbria, I touched upon these matters.
